Events Quiz and Chips - March
Richard Hill presided over another fun but challenging Quiz evening in March.
We changed the format of the evening slightly this year, having the Quiz in the elegant surroundings of the Academy Hall and going down to the Dining Room for our Fish and Chip supper.
Get your thinking caps on for next year’s Quiz, with a change of food on the cards.
Midsummer Sports – June
A fantastic sunny afternoon towards the end of June saw nearly 100 people of all ages playing tennis, rounders and boules or just picnicking.
While the tennis players knew how to play tennis, for those playing rounders it really didn’t matter if you had ever wielded a rounders bat or ball before. A very competitive game was enjoyed by all.
Uniform Sales
We have had several sales in the last year and have shifted piles of secondhand uniform, raising hundreds of pounds both for SPF funds and for those parents who have supplied it.
Monies will be handed out to sellers from September. Envelopes containing cash or cheque will be available to collect from Reception (you should receive a phone call or email to say it is waiting for you).
We are constantly in need of fresh supplies of uniform to sell, so please think of us when you are having a clear out. Uniform can be left at Reception any time, but if you want 50% of the sale price returned to you, you must label each item with your name and contact details. Unlabelled items will be sold with all proceeds going to SPF funds (and it is not enough to put one label on a bag of goods, each item must have its own label).
