September's AGM was brief and business-like. Departing members were thanked, and new members were welcomed.
Officers were re-elected: Margaret as Chairman, David Stubbs as Treasurer and a swap in roles for Fiona and Alex Jackson - now Vice Chairman and Secretary respectively. (Alex would love to relinquish his post as Secretary as soon as a replacement volunteers. Any offers?)
We congratulated ourselves on a fantastic Carnival.
There followed a much longer time spent with a glass or two of wine, a plate of nibbles and meeting new Committee members.

Following the very successful Carnival and money raised last year at our various events, pupils and staff were asked to put in bids for us to fund. At the first meeting of the new Committee there were a number of bids to be considered and below is the list of the projects we decided to support immediately, totalling £4,740. A couple of other bids will be reviewed as and when we have more money in the bank.
£200 donation to each House and contributions towards the 6th Form Common Room - new sofas, to make good the shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, a digital camera for the Biology dept., an A3 laser printer & scanner for DT, funding for authors for Book Week, guitar amplifiers and the History of Art Dictionary.

Sales of nearly new uniform did particularly well at the end of June and again in September.
There is great demand from parents trying to kit out their children without breaking the bank, supplementing new purchases with some second-hand.
Demand is especially great for blazers and games wear - both for boys and girls. (We have too many blue shirts to possibly sell, and lots of trousers, not so many skirts.)
So when your child has outgrown any of their uniform, particularly their sports wear, please keep it for us to sell for you.
We sell on a 50:50 basis, settling up at the end of the year. We have found a small problem in having very tiny amounts of money to refund so intend from now on only to refund amounts greater than £5.
If you are happy for all proceeds to go into the SPF kitty, simply do not label items with your name and contact details.
Last year's money was sent home via pupils in the week beginning 13th October. If you have not

Remember, remember the 5th of November - gunpowder, treason and plot!
Come along and enjoy the spectacle of fireworks set against the backdrop of Bath at night.
What could be better, a crisp cold night (we hope!), wonderful food and refreshments and a chance for the whole school to come together.
Following the success of the previous year, the firework display will be held at the front of the Mansion overlooking Prior Park gardens.
Access to the display will be from the Butts end of the swimming pool and via the pedestrian gate at the lodge and walk behind the Chapel.
