In an effort to forge closer links between the SPF and the PPA, we have this year been invited to join in with the PPA Day on Sunday 29th June.

It's an afternoon of cricket and, for the first time in several years,  tennis, together with picnic lunches and then cream teas later in the afternoon. This follows the regular PPA meeting in the morning.

The plan is to put together a PPA/SPF cricket team against the 1st XI, starting at 12.30 p.m. We would like to be able to field some recent leavers and a few fit current fathers - hopefully bringing their  families to watch.
A tennis tournament will run at the same time, open to parents, leavers and existing pupils, the nature of the tournament very much dependent on how many people wish to play.

We'd love to see families picnicking, watching the cricket, playing tennis and enjoying the sun. The SPF will serve cream teas later in the afternoon.

Full details will be sent out by half term giving you the opportunity to sign up for your chosen sport. Of course we would also be delighted if you

The Summer Concert in the Chapel is always a highlight of the musical year at Prior Park. This year you are invited to picnic on the lawn before the concert. The concert on Sunday 11th May starts at 7.00 p.m. and you are invited to picnic from 5.30 p.m. Please bring your own food and drinks, rugs to sit on and bags to remove your own rubbish. For once, there will not be a SPF bar, so that we can all relax and enjoy the evening!

Musicians and singers will be rehearsing during the afternoon (those involved should have details of the timings) so they will be able to join families to picnic between the end of rehearsal and the performance. It is important that you let the Music Department know if you child will not be needing the school supper that will be ordered for them.

The success of the pre concert picnic depends very much on the weather

Is there any one out there who would like to become more involved with the SPF?

We have a very energetic, vibrant and friendly Committee at the moment but could always do with new blood.

Contact Margaret or Fiona any time.

Please note errors in the Summer diary specifically involving the SPF.
There is no Summer Carnival on 21st June and no Uniform Sale and Coffee morning Saturday 28th June.  See page 3 for actual dates.
