A truly fitting end to a busy but enjoyable Michaelmas term with a record number of pupils and parents attending this event in the Baines Gym after the Christmas Concert.

The Jazz Band, directed by Mr Sackett, played wonderful music and the committee plus parent volunteers provided splendid puddings for us all to enjoy. There were gateaux and cakes; chocolate confections galore and mince pies to start the festive season. The mulled wine and beer was particularly welcome on this very cold evening and thanks to a very energetic committee, the event was a wonderful success raising £400 and contributing to the year's efforts.

What a night!!!

A spectacular firework display was held at the front of the Mansion with a record number of pupils, parents and staff attending.

As it was held on Sunday evening this gave boarding parents the chance to join in the fun. Despite the weather and a few hiccoughs with the electricity supply, a good time was had by all.

The catering committee provided hot beverages and food (we nearly all went up in flames with the hotdogs, 'so I think we'll have to think that out again!') with the mulled wine stall doing a sterling job in the very cold conditions.

The SPF joined in the new parents evening arranged by Mr Sackett.

This gave us the opportunity to talk to parents about the committee and collect names/contact numbers of new parents.

The lists are a little incomplete but will be circulated in the Lent term to Baines classes.
If you would like to be included in the contact list but missed this opportunity please send an email with your details to Carol Bell (bellsinbath@aol.com) or Fiona Jackson (spf.chairman@homecall.co.uk).
