Plans are now well underway for the next themed SPF event.
This time, an Australian BBQ, which will be held behind the Mansion looking out across the magnificent National Trust gardens. Tickets are £7.50 each and will include your meal and an opportunity to meet up with friends. The date? Saturday 25th May, put it in your diary! Watch out for kangaroos, didgeridoos and men wandering around in corked hats publicising the event!

Fourteen teams slugged it out at our Quiz & Chips evening last month. The Beaux Jollies were the winning team, walking away with wine and chocolates, the losers received a handful of wooden spoons. Thanks to everyone who took part, helping us raise £500 at the same time as giving our grey cells a workout. Particular thanks to our quizmaster, Simon Edwards, scorers, Alison Holbrook and Angela Burton and to the catering department for the wonderful fish & chip meal they provided. It was Martin Beech's final meal for the SPF - we shall miss him but look forward to collaborating with Liz Dawson in the future.
